Our Story

Catalyst was formed to meet the need for an intimate space for artists and audiences to share story-driven theater in our community of Rapid City, South Dakota. We opened our first show, The Ruby Sunrise, in August of 2023.

Our mission is to catalyze conversation and community through live theater.

Catalyst Theater Company is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity and a member of the American Association of Community Theatres.
